Join Us This Holiday Season!
Christmas Cantata
On Sunday, December 17 at 8:30AM and 11:00AM, the Chancel Choir will lead worship with the Christmas Cantata, This Day Is Born Emmanuel by Ruth Elaine Schram and John Purifoy. We look forward to sharing our faith with you during the Advent and Christmas seasons.
We invite any member of the congregation to join us for this special occasion! You will need to come only to the first part of Wednesday night choir rehearsals at 7:00PM to 7:30PM, now through December 13. There is no rehearsal Wednesday night, November 22, due to Thanksgiving. So, if you like to sing but haven’t had time; can’t make it to the early service on a regular basis; adore Christmas carols; meet new people; this could be the opportunity for you! Questions? Contact Nathan Rancatore at nathan.rancatore@plainfieldumc.com.
Advent Worship Services
Join us this Advent Season for our sermon series, "The Heart of Christmas." What is Christmas really all about? Each year, the culture focuses on gifts under the tree, meals around the table, family spending time together, and hopes of winter weather. These all certainly play a part in the most wonderful time of year, but there is something else that is at the heart of the Christmas season. The Bible tells us that the real reason to celebrate is the saving grace offered to us through the birth, life, and death of God’s son, Jesus. The Heart of Christmas is a five-sermon advent series centered on the story of Christ’s birth.
